Apparently I wasn't the only one who thought the home thermostat was unappealing to the eye.  Thankfully, the former Apple senior VP Tony Fadell thought so too, and then there was Nest!  Not only is it chic as hell, beautiful as hell, and very much for the 21st century... but naturally, it's smart as hell too!

An Inside Look, Adobe Home

I found this picture of the inside of a cottage-like adobe home and wanted to share it with you.  I was pleased with the level of comfort the adobe home exuded and thought the owners did the most charming job on decorating the inside.  I especially like all the shelving already made in the adobe and the over-sized plate with an image of what seems to be a pumpkin or orange on the top shelf towards the back of the picture, which I assume is the kitchen area.

A New Use For Cargo Containers... The Future Of Homes?

Some time ago I was looking through Dwell Magazine and came upon pictures of homes made from large cargo containers, I was blown away.  I think the whole idea is awesome, of course who knows how affordable they really are?  They would seem to be affordable at first but when delving deeper and realizing how much would need to be done in order to make these cargo containers habitable- not so affordable it would seem.  I still have fun picturing a world full of cargo container homes.
