Central Station original interiors

When I think of an ideal interior decor for myself I see an urban structure with lots of wood, many would say "modern rusticity" is where my heart falls.  This is the reason why I fell in love with the pieces at Central Station, the epitome of modern rusticity is seen in every single piece.  The wood carefully chosen, handmade, designed and polished with the kind of wood it is using in mind.  The Signature pieces combine wood with metal to create the ultimate modern rusticity effect, and if this wasn't awesome enough, Central Station has done one better...

Creating simple wood pieces in it's Basic collection, a line of pieces that forego the metal to keep it all wood, creating a more rustic and simple effect.

*As read on the Central Station site:

is a furniture manufacturer unlike most others in that each piece is custom built by hand with hand-selected materials from various parts of the world.  Paul Delaisse, owner and creator of Central Station Interiors is originally from Antwerp, Belgium.  He travels the world extensively searching for new materials nature has to offer.  Every piece of wood used to make this unique furniture is chosen for its natural elements - the grain, the burl, and the knots all become a part of the overall design.  Reclaimed teak, as well as French oak, African Walnut, American Black Walnut and Belgian Bluestone are some of the materials used in CS' designs.  This distinctive, custom-built furniture is created for lasting beauty - furniture that nature has had a hand in forming, whether it is for classic, transitional, or contemporary spaces.

I Stand Behind: Hot water kettle dispensers

Zojirushi Panorama window micom electric dispensing pot

I live in a world of teas and coffees, I drink at least a cup of each each day, and it is for this reason I firmly stand behind the hot water kettle dispensers.  No wait time needed for your hot water to come to a boil, merely unlock and push "dispense", simple as that.  I have of course found other great uses for it as well, such as oatmeal!  Empty my pack of oatmeal into my bowl, unlock and push "dispense" to fill up that bowl and waalah!  Oatmeal!  Simple as that.

My days of waiting for the water to heat up are over and I couldn't be more thankful for my hotwater dispenser.

Unclog that sink with this simple home remedy

It seems to me that it really doesn't matter how careful you are of taking care to keep that kitchen drain clog-free, sooner or later the inevitable happens, a slow-drain, and then eventually a clog so awful that using your kitchen sink has become an ordeal.

In a situation like this I am a person who immediately reaches the phone to call for help it just seems simpler to me do this, fortunately my husband is a bit more handy.  With our first and most recent kitchen clog he used a simple home remedy that worked wonders!

Ingredients:
1 cup of baking soda
1 cup of table salt
1 cup of white vinegar
A kettle of boiling water

Directions:
Wait until there is no water in the sink and the pipes are believed to be somewhat dry
Pour 1 cup of baking soda and then 1 cup of table salt and then 1 cup of vinegar, in this order
Wait 10 minutes and flush the drain with boiling water

I have also read that the home remedy below also works well for clogs, so if you do not have baking soda, salt and white vinegar handy maybe you'll have a liter of coke in the refrigerator to use instead.

Ingredients:
1 liter of cola
A kettle of boiling water

Directions:
Pour the liter of coke down the drain and let it sit over night
The next morning before use flush the drain with a kettle of boiling water
